You’ve made all of the arrangements for your annual Thanksgiving meal. Now all that’s left is to choose the perfect wine to compliment your hard work. This may feel overwhelming at best. Every year we pack our tables full of savory, rich dishes. How do you choose just one wine to pair with all of these unique flavors?
It may seem natural to start with your main dish, as many wines pair fabulously with the traditional turkey. However we will challenge you to look to those savory side dishes first. The foods you selected to pair with your main dish often hold unique and powerful aromas that can be complimented with a variety of wines.
Keeping the diverse palette you have planned for this year’s feast in mind, we have chosen to showcase a few wines that are sure to make a splash at your table.
Tango Blu
On the nose, this wine is rich and intense, but also quite refreshing. It is the perfect pairing for any powerful, flavorful foods. Think of this wine as the compliment to green bean casserole or mashed potatoes and gravy. This Tango Blu also makes a wonderful compliment to your desserts such as apple pie or cheesecake! It is soft with a slight sweetness embraced in rich aromas that play off of those stronger flavors, but then can use it’s acidity to balance out the more sugary dishes on the menu.

Rosé
Often when we think of the holidays, our minds are instantly drawn to red wine, but don’t skip over the Rosé in your considerations! One of the biggest stress points can be feeling as though you have to find something everyone will enjoy. While some family members may be strictly red or white drinkers, the Rosé is a wonderful compromise for those who enjoy all wines. The Rosé is a more versatile wine that pairs well with nearly any part of your Thanksgiving meal. You’ll find that this wine will continue complimenting dishes you choose to make with leftovers after your big meal such as turkey sandwiches and soup. It is light, lively, and sure to bring out the tasty flavors that fill your meal.

Fatass Red
When you think of Thanksgiving, there is a good chance you picture a beautiful table setting with stuffing, yams, green beans, and of course the large turkey as your centerpiece. You wouldn’t be alone if wine glasses filled with red wine also came to mind – red wines are popular for holiday meals and for good reason! The deep, bold aromas of the Cabernet Sauvignon pair exquisitely with the roasted flavors of your main dish, the turkey. For those who enjoy bold, but delightful and savory meals, this wine will perfect the meal. If you are a fan of cooking with wine, this Cabernet Sauvignon is the perfect match for red wine gravy!
